Shannon
Hammerschmidt

Owner, Founder, and Lead Pharmacist
Shannon was born and raised in Fairbury, Nebraska. In 2005, she graduated from UNL with a BS in chemistry and continued on to the UNMC College of Pharmacy, earning her Doctor of Pharmacy in 2009. Shannon has studied many different aspects of pharmacy and even studied medicine in Australia and Brazil. In her free time, Shannon enjoys spending time with her son and family, being outdoors, and running. She loves to compete in elite races, especially the Boston Marathon.

Lead Pharmacy Technician
Kylie completed certification for the Pharmacy Technician program at UNMC in 2016. She brings 12 years of long-term care experience and specializes in adherence packaging. Her passion is patient care. Future goals for Kylie include being more involved in the community and being an advocate for mental health. She also enjoys spending time with her family and organizing efficient projects for bettering patient care in her free time.
How it all began
In 2011, owner and founder, Shannon Hammerschmidt decided she wanted to challenge herself and do more with her career. Making an impact in her community was her top priority and so Nebraska LTC Pharmacy was established. This was only the beginning for her and the pharmacy. She found herself running her business out of a closet sized office with just five clients back then. Fast forward to 2022 and now she has five amazing employees and an expanded office space that helps to serve over 300 clients!
